ABOUT
ABOUT MONSTARK STUDIOS:
Monstark Studios was created in 2008 to consolidate all creative works
of Mark Thompson and promote these works through varied endeavors. It
also serves to get Mark out of the house a bit more often.
Monstark Studios is based in San Rafael, California.
ABOUT MARK THOMPSON:
Artist, writer, musician and regal, fanged were-creature in the guise of
a mild-mannered gentleman, Mark resides reclusively in San Rafael,
California with wife and fellow weirdo, Laura. A friendly freak with a
lifelong interest in the weird and monstrous, Mark has sharpened his
artistic claws by traversing the tendrils of the ever-growing forest of
his creative thought, in the thick of which he naturally finds his
repose. Mark enjoys looking at trees, going to metal shows, working all
through the night and writing bios in the third person.
Pre-Monstark Studios,
Mark was responsible for creating most of the art for a San Francisco
Bay Area-based band called
Nuclear Rabbit.
For over ten tears, he learned to draw cute, fuzzy rabbits and
woodland creatures...and then mutate them horribly. These days, Mark naturally tends
toward making monsters, since he's always longed to transform into one.
